on Whispering Pines Campground
We loved our cabin, The price was reasonable, and it was just what we needed. However, The hostess of the campground, was not there when we arrived, and we did not have any way of checking in. They never told us that we might have to do a self check-in. We eventually found a map of the campground with our name on it, and hunted around until we found our cabin. Also, although this is insignificant money-wise; We were told $47.50 for the cabin. When we eventually met the owner/lady, not only was she terribly unpleasant, and rude, but insisted that we must have been looking at ANOTHER whispering pines, that her cabins were $49.00-Its only $1.50, but it is the mere principle of it. When I made the reservations over the phone, she told me $47.50. If I didnt love the accomodations (and the price) I would defintely not return, but we will definitely be coming back.

on Dune Lake Campground
Very large, shady, well maintained sites, clean bathrooms, reasonably priced. VERRRY nice, friendly owners. Convenient electrical hookups and water supply. Firewood not only available at a great price, but delivered right to your campsite. Easy access from the interstate. Nice lake, nearby wildlife / nature center and horseback riding. Close to several outstanding local wineries. We will definitely be staying here again.
