The Count Gilu is a small motel in the remote mountain town of Welch, West Virginia. Of course, it is the the only motel within a 40 mile radius. The rooms are clean and comfortable. However, as a business traveler there were a few draw backs. There was not a desk in the room even though there was room for one. The wireless internet had a weak signal and did not work all of the time. There was no iron or ironing board in the room. There were doors that connected to the rooms on either side and you could clearly hear your neighbors. The motel does not have any staff on duty after 6:00 PM. The shower pipes made a screaming noise and the sink faucet sprayed water everywhere when turned a above a trickle. Otherwise, the room was clean and modest.

Hotel Infomation
Discount hotel rooms are generally offered in two manors. Either you can call a hotel directly, or attempt to book a hotel room online. Online room booking often nets you a cheaper rate since there is no booking overhead involved. Reservations can usually be cancelled with a full refund if 48 hours notice is given. Deals on hotel rooms can vary by season and can be influenced by a themed room, jacuzzi, or other upgrades.
