This place is the best. I went to a Duke football game recently and stayed with some other football families there. (They told me about it.) We cooked out on the grill in the courtyard. The staff even gave us a ride in the bus to the football game and came and picked us up. We have other football families staying there now because we can gather in the courtyard rather than stuffed into a hotel room like at the Hilton or Marriott. This place is really cool and unique. Reasonable prices too. Highly recommended. Go Blue Devils!

We found the First Colony Inn online and decided to give it a try for a long weekend. What a find! Quaint and comfy rooms, very clean too. The staff was very welcoming and polite.
Breakfast was good. We enjoyed being able to walk across the street to the ocean. It was a very relaxing and restful stay and we hope to go back sometime later this year.
