For the price of $55 this was a steal. Great location and comfortable. Also weekly or monthly rates. Detroit lakies is a neat spot to go for a get away! Lots of golfing and biking for us! The lake was across the street and seemed clean. We did hit a 80' weekend.

I absolutely adored this place. I loved staying here. It was soo tranquil! I am very sad it closed! What in the world happened-WHY did it close? Oh how I wished it would open again--but ONLY with the original owners, Ileen Ivy and her family.

Name is now travelers inn. Economical, adequate, clean, modest. Good staff. Large rooms. Huge effort going into updating fatiqued facility. Two separate stays in spring '11 were quite satisfactory. It's nice to see local owners reinvesting and working to please.

Kelly's Beach Retreat is just that a delight. The house is well equipped as like we were home. Pretty much everthing you need the Kelly's have for you. The administration stuff is nicely done via the US Mail and email. With Mr Kelly being very responsive to inquires and needs. We have been there 3 times with additional enhancements each time. The Kelly's take pride in their home which is a "win" for the vacationers!Plus the weather was great w/o 8/16 even with BILL off the coast!

The management are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable. My wife and I stayed for the weekend and we are definitely coming back. Sam Rayburn Lake is huge!
